I found this shot while editing my days work. I hadn’t noticed the Seal jumping out of the water directly under Emirates Team New Zealand’s AC45 while I was shooting.
They must have given the little guy a hell of a fright, whizzing over head at 30+ knots. He was very lucky not to be a metre either side or he could have been collected by the port Rudder or the Starboard foil.
The New Zealand Herald liked the shot so much they used it on the cover and on page seven and on their web site.
