My CAMPER campaign favourites

The Volvo Ocean race is over. It has been quite an adventure since Emirates Team New Zealand announced their campaign in association with the Spanish shoe company  Camper, in April 2010. I’ve photographed almost everything from that first announcement through to the final prize giving in Galway. The teams preparations, the boat being built, the first sail, highs and lows, farewells and reunions,  tears and laughter. I’ve tried to stretch my photographic vocabulary, employing studio lighting, post production, underwater housings, helicopters, long exposures, HDR and more. There have been action sports shots as expected but also still lifes, portraits, social, PR, advertising, editorial. architectural. I’ve worn out a couple of cameras in that time and shot countless frames.
